Fiber coupled LEDM modules are a good alternative if a complex control is not required. They have a configurable output connector (SMA / FC) specially designed to optimize the coupling to the optical fiber.
LEDe modules can be used as standalone devices if you don’t require a complex control or with a COBe if you need a more advanced solution.
The thread also enables the coupling of different elements such as connectors (SMA or FC), diffusors or lens. They can be used for free space or optical fiber applications.
